The Box - Behind The Scenes

We approached The Box with a fairly casual approach, because of the fairly stationary shots that needed 3D elements we rendered the elements out using a locked camera in Autodesk Maya and then using After Effects CS6 to add the camera movement to the locked sequence. this allowed us to finish the entire editing in a few hours rather than having to match move accurately with Match Mover 2013.

For the fractured road I used a plugin for Maya called PullDownIT (http://www.pulldownit.com/) which allows you to fracture geometry in Maya and then destroy them realistically.

First New Proper Video In A While

Nathan and myself decided to start all this up again and be much more active in the online community so we have decided to create at least one video per week together.
Here is the first of hopefully many short videos.
